Together with the Immersive Technologies Hub at HTW Berlin and under the leadership of the Onassis Foundation, we developed REWIRE: a 48-month European project dedicated to building the first Europe-wide Academy for advanced digital skills in virtual and immersive technologies, with a particular focus on the cultural and creative industries. Its aim is to develop a European competence and qualifications framework, establish accredited educational offerings ranging from higher education and VET to professional training, pilot these programs with diverse target groups, and create a lasting ecosystem connecting education, industry, policymakers, and civil society. The project will strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, digital sovereignty, and inclusion in the transition to virtual worlds, while also generating momentum for fields such as healthcare, education, and manufacturing.

Within this consortium of 23 partners, we, the Studio für unendliche Möglichkeiten, are positioned as a hands-on industry partner with a focus on development and GDPR-compliant AI expertise. Within the project’s overall logic, our role is essential in translating the Academy’s educational and innovation goals into ethically sound, strategically smart, and highly practical applications beyond the academic sphere.

This project has now been awarded the STEP Seal: the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform distinction is an official quality label granted by the European Commission, demonstrating that REWIRE is regarded as a strategic EU instrument for putting technological sovereignty into practice and for prioritizing projects in funding, scaling, and political strategy. We are absolutely delighted.
